12 Maoists were killed in an encounter with security personnel in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: 12 Maoist activists were killed in an encounter with security personnel. The encounter took place on Friday near Pidiya village in Gangalur region of Chhattisgarh. Dantewada SP Gaurav Rai confirmed that bodies of 12 Naxalites have been recovered from the encounter site so far.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the encounter lasted for eleven hours, twelve bodies were recovered and the encounter was over.

He congratulated the security forces and officers involved in the operation. Police officials said that the jawans were safe and the attack was strong. Security forces killed 29 Naxalites in an encounter in Kankar district on April 16, while ten Naxalites were killed in another encounter in Abujmar area of ​​Narayanpur district.
