Chief Minister Returns from Foreign Trip, Declines to Answer Questions

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has returned after his foreign visit. Reached Thiruvananthapuram at 3.15 am on Saturday morning. The return is earlier than previously informed as the journey has been cut short. Earlier it was announced that he would return on the 21st.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by his wife and daughter’s child. The Chief Minister reached the capital after visiting Dubai, Singapore and Indonesia. The Chief Minister did not respond to questions about foreign travel. The Chief Minister went abroad on the 6th of this month.

When the Chief Minister went abroad, no one was given the responsibility. Allegations were raised against the Chief Minister going abroad during the Lok Sabha elections. Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan had raised criticism as to why the Chief Minister and others had secretly traveled abroad.
