Girl dies of food poisoning in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh It is suspected that the food poisoning came from the food eaten at the madrasa.
About 100 kg of mutton was served at Madrasa Charitable Trust in Ajit Singh Nagar, Vijayawada. A girl named Karishma died of food poisoning and eight people were admitted to the hospital.
According to reports, about 10 children vomited shortly after eating on Thursday night, following which emergency medical attention was sought. The family members of the deceased alleged that the food poisoning was due to consumption of stale mutton which had been used since June 17.
Meanwhile, the authorities have started an investigation into the matter to find out the exact cause of the incidents and action has been assured.
