Governor CV Ananda Bose filed a defamation case against Mamata Banerjee

Governor CV Ananda Bose filed a defamation case against Mamata Banerjee’s abusive remarks. The governor filed the case in the Calcutta High Court. Mamata’s controversial remark was that women are reluctant to go there because of the recent incidents at Raj Bhavan. The governor has also filed a case against some Trinamool Congress leaders who made similar remarks.

The governor had replied to Mamata that as people’s representatives, they should be at least a little respectful and avoid such vulgar remarks.

Mamata’s abusive remarks against the governor were made during an administrative level meeting held at the state secretariat. BJP leader Rahul Sinha said that Governor Anand Bose took the right decision in the incident. He should have made this decision long ago. Rahul also added that he fully supports him.

The new controversy comes as the fight between the Mamata government and the governor continues in Bengal. Mamata’s allegation was based on a complaint lodged against the governor by an employee of Raj Bhavan.
