Thiruvananthapuram: There is a possibility of heavy rain in Kerala. Orange alert has been issued in Idukki and Pathanamthitta districts. Yellow alert has also been declared in eight districts. The authorities have also issued a warning to be cautious in the wake of rain.
Yellow alert has been issued in eight districts namely Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad. No warnings have been issued in Kannur and Kasaragod districts so far.
A yellow alert was announced in Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta and Kollam districts on May 15 in the wake of rain. A yellow alert has been announced in Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram and Kozhikode districts on May 16 and Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki and Wayanad districts on May 17.
