Heavy rain lashes Kerala, Yellow alert in five districts

The Central Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of isolated heavy rains in different parts of the state in the next five days. Heavy rains mean rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.

Yellow alert has also been declared in various districts. Yellow alert has been announced in Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad and Wayanad districts today, Pathanamthitta, Idukki and Wayanad districts tomorrow, Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts on Monday, Pathanamthitta district on Tuesday and Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, high temperature warning will continue in eight districts. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Palakkad, Kozhikode Kannur Kasargod districts are under high temperature warning.
