Kannur DCC President Martin George welcomed the young leader of Kannur Manu Thomas who left CPIM to the Congress. He informed that Manu Thomas is being invited to the Congress. After coming out of the party, Manu Thomas had made serious allegations that quota and gold smuggling gangs were connected with the party.
Martin George said that Manu Thomas is a person who has stated his own position and he stands with justice and fairness. DCC President’s position is that if Manu Thomas is ready to come to the Congress, he will take a decision after consulting with the party. The Kannur DCC president invited Manu to the party after the matter of Manu Thomas was discussed in the assembly.
Manu, who was away from the party, left the CPM naturally without renewing his membership. Manu Thomas made serious allegations against the CPM after his exit. Manu Thomas said that the party’s relationship with quota groups was the reason why he stayed away from the party. Manu alleged that despite the party rejecting the gold smuggling quota gangs including Akash Tillankeri, they are still associated with them.
