Plus one seat crisis, Government appoints two-member committee

Thiruvananthapuram: Minister V Sivankutty announced that a two-member committee has been appointed to study the shortage of plus one seats in Malappuram after discussions with the government and educational organizations. One member is the Joint Director of Higher Secondary. Malappuram District Education Director is also included in the committee. The minister also informed that a temporary batch will be allowed to solve the plus one seat crisis.

Based on the report of the committee, a decision will be taken on the batch increase. The report has been directed to be submitted on July 5. Science seats are more in all the seven taluks of Malappuram district. But commerce and humanities seats are less. Science has 4433 more seats in Nilambur, Eranad, Perinthalmanna, Tirur, Ponnani, Thirurangadi and Kondotti taluks. Humanities 3816 seats and Commerce 3405 seats less. The Minister said that when the admission was completed last year, 4952 seats were vacant in Malappuram district.

This time 53762 people have got admission. Now the application for supplementary allotment will start on the second date. You can apply till 5th. Allotment will start on 8th. It will be done in one day. Admission will be held on 8th and 9th July. The Education Minister also informed that the government has accepted the demand of the educational organizations that after the completion of the supplementary allotment, it is enough to invite the application for school Kerala registration.
