Puducherry: Three people died after inhaling toxic air from a manhole in Reddipalayam. The poisonous gas came out through the toilet inside the house. Two women and a 15-year-old boy died. Two people are under treatment.
When the washroom was opened in the morning, poisonous gas was spreading. Two women in the house died. Hearing their noise, a 15-year-old boy from the neighborhood also died after inhaling the poisonous air.
Houses in Reddipalayam area are being evacuated. All manholes in Reddipalayam and Pudunanagar areas have been instructed to open. Cautionary advice has been given to those in Pudunagar region.
