A five-month-old baby was bitten to death by a dog in Telangana. The incident took place when the child’s mother went to work. Dog entered the one room house and attacked the baby who was lying downstairs. The baby died instantly. The dog was regularly fed by the residents of the area.
The seriously injured child died on the spot. After some time, the baby’s mother Lavanya came back and saw the dog near the house. She went inside and saw her child bleeding. He was immediately taken to the mother and child care center of the nearby district hospital, but the child died.
Karangode police registered a case based on the complaint of the parents. The police said that the deceased Sainath’s parents, Dattu and Lavanya, were residents of Mahbubnagar district and were working in a polishing unit near Gautapur. Local residents complained that the dog belonged to the owners of the stone polishing unit.
