Union Minister Suresh Gopi was chanting the Lord’s name before taking oath as a Member of Parliament. Before taking the oath, he clapped his hands on his forehead saying ‘Krishna Guruvayurappa Bhagavane’. That’s how he was calling in his heart. He then took the oath.
Suresh Gopi is the only BJP member who has won the Lok Sabha elections from Kerala. Suresh Gopi’s oath was in God’s name in Malayalam. After taking the oath, he returned to his seat after looking at the ruling party and the opposition. The swearing-in ceremony of MPs in the Lok Sabha is in progress.
Suresh Gopi was sworn in as Union Minister for the first time. Other MPs from Kerala will be sworn in at 4 pm. This is the first time a central minister is taking oath in Malayalam. All the MPs who love Kerala so much tend to forget Malayalam when they reach the parliament.
