The Chief Minister had reached the Nedumbassery airport to receive the bodies of those who died in the fire disaster in Kuwait.

Expatriates are seen as the lifeblood of Kerala. The biggest tragedy that happened during the exile life happened in Kuwait. The dead bodies of 31 people have arrived here. Out of which 23 are Malayalis, seven are from Tamil Nadu and one is from Karnataka. The families who were waiting with great hope have suffered a never-ending loss. The Kuwaiti government has taken strong measures. The chief minister also said that he hoped that the further proceedings would be flawless.

The central government also intervened in the right way. The Minister of State for External Affairs went there and coordinated the activities. Careful steps need to be taken to prevent a tragedy like this from happening again. A flawless action is expected in Kuwait. It is hoped that the Kuwaiti government will take the lead in providing adequate compensation to the families. Central government should speed up the steps for this. This is the time when the whole country is expressing deep condolences for the great tragedy that happened in the state. The chief minister said that a special cabinet meeting was held to examine the matter and further steps were taken.
