Women’s League workers banned from Shafi Parampil’s road show

Kannur: Muslim League’s Koothuparam Mandal Secretary PK Shahul Hameed’s voice message has come out saying that religious . It is said in the voice message that it is enough for women league workers to offer their greetings.

Shafi Parampil’s road show is being organized to thank the voters in all the constituencies after his huge victory in Vadakara. In this, the voice message came out saying that the women’s league workers were not.

The voicemail reads:
Women’s League workers should be present at the event celebrating Shafi’s victory. But no need to participate in road show or performance. The Party does not demand women’s participation because our religious restrictions do not allow us to respond in accordance with the celebratory fervor. But there must be presence in the program. There will be an opportunity to offer your greetings to the MP’.

On the day of counting of votes, UDF workers held a jubilant demonstration in Panur, Kannur. There was a large presence of women’s league workers in this demonstration. After the pictures and videos of the event came out, some criticisms also arose.
