Eco-friendly electric buses for soldiers

New Delhi: Army has bought 113 electric buses for the travel of soldiers. The Army’s decision will give more energy to the central government’s green initiatives. The buses are procured in accordance with the central directive aimed at eliminating carbon emissions.

It has been decided to use these for the army’s journeys in the plains and hilly areas. By adopting eco-friendly modes of transport in the army, the country can set an example globally. A bus has a maximum of 40 seats.

The central government’s move to develop indigenous potential to achieve this goal has already been lauded. It is indicated that the new change in the Army will soon be implemented in other government agencies and institutions.
