Thiruvananthapuram: Explosion at concrete readymix unit in Thumba Kinfra Park. The explosion occurred in R.M.C office around 12 noon in the plant of the company. The roof of the huge tunnel burst due to excessive pressure. The machine parts of the factory were thrown and fell in the residential area. But no one was injured in the accident.
The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon. A cover over one of the machine parts in the readymix plant exploded due to excessive pressure. The machine part fell on the window of a three-story house near the factory. A part of the machine hit the window of the house and some parts of the machine also fell on the nearby road.
Some vehicles parked nearby were also filled with concrete dust. Later, the locals came out with a protest.
