Hathras stampede ; Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced judicial inquiry into incident

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a judicial inquiry into the Hathras accident in which 121 people died. A judicial commission will look into who is responsible for the tragedy. Yogi Adityanath said that they will also check whether there is a conspiracy behind the incident.

Six of the dead are from other states. The Chief Minister said that he will ensure that such accidents do not occur in the future. Action guidelines will be drawn up for the programs. Yogi Adityanath assessed the health status of those undergoing treatment in the hospital. He directed the authorities to ensure better treatment. Yogi Adityanath held a discussion with the important officials of the district. The judicial committee will look into the causes of the accident and submit recommendations to avoid future accidents.

Meanwhile, Adv. demanded that a five-member expert committee be appointed to investigate the accident. Vishal Tiwari filed a petition in the Supreme Court. The petition asked the Uttar Pradesh government to seek a report and take action against those responsible.
