Hathras stampede; Six persons, including four men and two women Arrested

Uttarpradesh: Six people have been arrested in connection with the death of 121 people in a stampede during the prayer meeting of God in Hatras. Four men and two women are among the six arrested. The police have announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information about Dev Prakash Madhukar, who is named in the FIR as the main accused in the case.

According to the UP Police, the arrested accused are the organizers of the satsang. The police revealed that they are volunteers in charge of crowd management. During the events, they completely controlled the crowd. Aligarh IG Shalabh Mathur said that they did not allow the police or other government agencies to be a part of it.

Dev Prakash Madhukar, who is absconding, is the main volunteer. The police have sought a non-bailable warrant from the court for his arrest. Meanwhile. Bhole Baba, who led the satsang, has not yet been booked by the posies. However, police sources said that he may be interrogated.
