M.A. Yusuf Ali Extends Support to Differently Abled Children, Provides Houses and Financial Assistance

Palakkad: The Saji-Bisna couple is relieved to be relieved of having to take to the streets with differently-abled children. Lulu Group Chairman MA Yousafali made the dream of owning a home for these children a reality. A check of Rs 15 lakh for house purchase and Rs 5 lakh for children’s daily expenses was handed over to Saji-Bisna couple by Lulu Group representatives on behalf of MA Yousafali.

Saji and Bisna, natives of Attappadi Mukali, are providing shelter to 26 differently-abled children through the Dayashreya Charitable Rehabilitation Society. They had no children after marriage and are taking care of differently abled children who need special care. Saji and Bisna are now father and mother to differently-abled children from different parts of Kerala. Their expenses and house rent were beyond what this ordinary couple could afford. Due to financial difficulties, they had to move out of the rented building where they lived. Later
they shifted to this house in Attappadi Mukali . The children were very close to this house. Meanwhile, when the owner announced that the house would be sold within six months, the couple was worried that they would have to go out on the street with their children.

With the help of the locals, I was able to raise Rs 4 lakh, but I needed another Rs 15 lakh to own the house. They were worried about how to save such a huge amount while struggling to meet their daily expenses. Believing that Lulu Group Chairman MA Yousafali was coming to the country,
they reached the theater and waited for a day but were disappointed. Meanwhile, the condition of Dayashreya Charitable Rehabilitation Society came to the attention of MA Yousafali through social media. MA Yousafali directed the Lulu Group representatives to resolve the grief of these children immediately. Lulu India Media Head NB Swaraj, Lulu Palakkad Hypermarket General Manager Jayesh Nair and Hypermarket Manager Harikrishnan S came to their home in Attappadi Mukali and handed over checks of Rs 20 lakhs. These children and the Saji-Bisna couple who became their parents are thankful to MA Yousafali with tears in their eyes.
