Kottayam: Pantry worker arrested for sexually assaulting foreign woman on train. Indrapal Singhi (40), a native of Madhya Pradesh, was arrested by a team led by Railway SHO Reg P Josephine.
The incident took place on the Kanyakumari Pune Express at around half past noon on Monday. A 25-year-old German woman was traveling in the AC compartment of the train. When the train reached Tiruvalla station, Indrapal Singh reached the AC compartment and behaved rudely with the woman.
Then, when the woman made noise, the accused was detained by other passengers of the train. Then when he reached Kottayam railway station, Railway SHO Reg P Josephine led by Grade SI Santhosh and Senior CPO Madhu took the accused into custody. Then, after writing the TTE report and the woman’s complaint, a case was registered against him. The accused will be produced in court.
