RSS leader A Srinivasan murder case, accused granted bail

The High Court has granted bail to the accused in the murder case of RSS leader A Srinivasan. More than 40 people who are Popular Front-SDPI leaders and workers are accused in the case investigated by NIA.

The High Court granted bail with strict conditions including handing over the mobile phone details to the investigating officers. The court granted bail to those who had no prima facie evidence that they had not directly participated in the crime. They have only testimonies against them.

Karamana Ashraf Moulavi, Yahia Koya Thangal, Abdul Rauf, Abdul Sattar and others were denied bail by the bench of justices AK Jayasankaran Nambiar and Shyamkumar VM.

On April 16, 2022, A. Sreenivasan (44), was killed. The police found that Srinivasan was killed the next day as revenge for the killing . Zubair by Popular Front leader Elapulli Kupi. Later NIA took over the case. This is one of the cases that led to the nationwide ban of the Popular Front.
