Siddharth’s death,The application that the government presented lacks necessary documentation; CBI

Thiruvananthapuram: The CBI has said that there are insufficient documents in the application submitted seeking a CBI investigation into the death of Siddharth. The government had delayed handing over the case to the CBI by a week. Then, when the Governor and Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar intervened in the matter and it became news, the state handed over the death records for CBI investigation.

Two officials were suspended. The CBI sent a reply letter to the Additional Chief Secretary stating that a copy of the notification seeking investigation was provided with the government’s letter of introduction but copies of the documents referred to therein were not provided.

Now the CBI is complaining that there was nothing in the document that was given a copy of the Performa report, the copy of the FIR of the case registered by the Vethiri police, and the application made by Siddharth’s mother MR Sheeba asking for an investigation.
