Pathanamthitta: CPM workers beat up the forest officials who came to investigate the felling of trees. A complaint was raised that a woman forest officer was assaulted at Kochukoikkal in Pathanamthitta.
It is reported that four persons including Forest Section Officer Suresh and Beat Forest Officer Ammu Udayan were injured.
The attack was led by a CPM local leader. But the forest officials also alleged that Moozhiyar police did not file a case despite filing a complaint including footage of the attack.
