An electric scooter caught fire while running in Edavanna. The incident took place around 10.30 in the morning near Pattapiriyam Reading Room. Edavanna Pullat Jazeer Babu and two children were on the scooter.
Jazeer stopped the scooter and ran away with the children after the passengers of the other vehicles alerted him seeing the smoke rising. The scooter was completely burnt. At the same time, the car which was running south on Kojancherry road caught fire. The car stopped and the occupants got out, avoiding casualties. A car owned by Bindu was burnt at Ranni Thotaman Neermatalam house. Bindu’s daughter Anagha was driving the car.
Last day around 11.30 am, while traveling on Kojancherry road from Ranni side, he noticed smoke coming from the car at Kanjikuzhipadi in Thekappuram. Anagha was the only one in the car. After stopping the vehicle and getting out, the car caught fire.
