Four members of a family suffocated to death in a house fire in Delhi

New Delhi: Four members of a family died of suffocation after their house caught fire in Delhi. Heera Singh Kakkar (48), his wife Neetu (40), and their children Robin (22) and Lakshay (21) died. All four died of smoke inhalation. Police said two fire tenders were dispatched to the spot immediately after receiving the information.

The incident took place around 3.30 am. The initial conclusion is that the fire started from the inverter. The fire was extinguished within a few minutes, but smoke filled the house. All four people were taken to the hospital but could not be saved.

The gate was locked from inside, so the fire brigade broke the gate and entered. The investigation into the incident is in progress.
