Thiruvananthapuram: Chance of heavy rain in Kerala today. Orange alert has been issued in two districts and yellow alert has been issued in nine districts. Yellow alert has been given in seven districts and orange alert in three districts tomorrow. The Central Meteorological Department has announced that there is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in some districts of Kerala till Tuesday.
Orange alert issued today in Palakkad, Malappuram, districts. Yellow alert today for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Idukki, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts. Sunday Orange alert isssued in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Idukki districts. Sunday Yellow alert issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Palakkad and Malappuram districts.
Due to the possibility of strong winds and bad weather, the State Disaster Management Authority has informed that people should not go to sea from the Kerala coast until further notice. Rains are likely to be heavy in the eastern parts of the state.
