K. Sudhakaran Acquitted in EP Jayarajan Assassination Attempt Case

Kochi: E.P. In the Jayarajan assassination attempt case, K. Sudhakaran acquitted to be excluded from the charge sheet. K.P.C. Chairman K Sudhakaran’s petition allowed the High Court. K. Now the High Court order has come by avoiding all legal proceedings against Sudhakar.

K Sudhakaran was accused of conspiracy in the case. In 2016, K Sudhakaran approached the High Court seeking acquittal in the case. On April 12, 1995, there was an attempt to kill EP Jayarajan in a train. The assassination attempt took place in Andhra’s Ongole while returning from the party congress.

The first and second accused in the case, Petta Dinesan and Vikramchal Sasi, were convicted by the Andhra trial court, but were acquitted by the High Court. Then K Sudhakaran also approached the court. Sasikupurame Petta Dinesan, T.P. Rajeevan, Biju, K. Sudhakaran are the other accused in the case.

It is said in the charge sheet that the accused stayed in Thiruvananthapuram and hatched a conspiracy and then appointed Sasi and Dinesan to attack Jayarajan. In 2016, the High Court stayed the trial proceedings on Sudhakaran’s plea seeking acquittal in this case.
