25 Malayalis died in a fire in Mangefil flat complex in Kuwait. Umaruddin Shamir (33), a native of Kollam Oyur, was identified as one of them. The names of the others are yet to be released. Local media reports that 49 people have died in the fire so far. More than fifty people were injured in the accident. 7 of them are in critical condition.
A fire broke out in a flat where workers of a Malayali-owned company live in Kuwait. 49 people including Malayalees died in the incident. Many people were seriously injured. 45 dead bodies were found inside the building.
Four people died in the hospital. Six injured Malayalees are in ICU. Many Tamil Nadu people have also suffered.
