Thiruvananthapuram: Death sentence to three accused in Vizhinjam Mullur Santhakumari murder case. The court sentenced Rafiqa Beevi, her son Shafiq and Al Amin, a resident of Kovalam. Neyyattinkara Additional Sessions Court pronounced the verdict.
The case is that after stealing gold ornaments, 71-year-old Shanthakumari was killed and hid in the attic of the house. Shantakumari, a native of Mullur, was killed on January 14, 2022. Later, Santhakumari’s body was found by the house owners.
Rafiqa and her son Shafiq were living on rent as Shantakumari’s neighbours. Another accused Al Ameen also lived with them. On the day of vacating the rented house, Shantakumari was called to her home in the afternoon and after stealing her gold, she was killed by a blow on her head.
