22-year-old man dies of jaundice in Malappuram

Malappuram: A young man died of jaundice while undergoing treatment. Tejin San (22), a native of Chunkathara, died in Edakkara. He died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kozhikode due to infection. Tejin San is the 14th person to die of yellow fever in Malappuram.

According to the Health Department, 1,977 people have been diagnosed jaundice with in the state so far this year. The health department is of the opinion that there is no abnormal situation despite the large number of infected people.

One person died due to jaundice in the state last day On Monday, a housewife died of yellow fever in Vengur, Ernakulam. Since January, 4000 people have been infected with jaundice in Malappuram district.
