Delhi Court Rejects Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Request for Interim Bail in Liquor Policy Case

New Delhi: The trial court did not help Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court on Wednesday rejected Kejriwal’s plea seeking extension of interim bail. With this, Kejriwal will have to remain in Tihar Jail.

Kejriwal first approached the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court Registry and then the trial court seeking an extension of the bail granted by the Supreme Court till June 1 for election campaign.

The trial court heard the petition on June 2, but Kejriwal returned to jail on June 2 as the verdict was postponed to June 5. Kejriwal applied for bail citing health reasons.
