Kejriwal’s Judicial Custody Extended Until July 3rd

Delhi court has extended the judicial custody of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal till July 3 in connection with the excise policy.The next hearing in the case will be on July 3.

The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday requested the court to extend Kejriwal’s judicial custody. The ED has stated that a further investigation into the irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy, which was canceled in 2022, is necessary.

The lawyer appearing for Kejriwal opposed the ED’s plea to extend judicial custody. It said there was no reason to justify the extension of custody. The investigating officer said that out of Rs 100 crore related to the case, Rs 45 crore was found.
