Accused Sabit Nasser’s statement that the doctor in Hyderabad is the key in the Kochi organ trafficking case. Sabit said that there are many agents in India and they are controlled by a doctor in Hyderabad. But the investigation team did not believe this statement.
The accused has four bank accounts. Four bank accounts were opened at different addresses in Thrissur. Money from the organ trade used to reach Sabit through friends. Sabit says he never met that doctor.
The friends will be taken into custody only after Sabit is taken into custody. They are now being monitored. The police found four passports from the accused. The court will decide on the custody application of the accused today. The case is also likely to be taken over by the NIA. A special investigation team was formed under the leadership of Ernakulam Rural SP for the case.
