Former US President Donald Trump has been found guilty of falsifying business records and paying money to cover up his relationship with porn star Stormy Daniels. A New York jury found Trump guilty of 34 counts of forgery. Sentencing is scheduled for July 11.
The case is that Trump paid 1.30 lakh dollars while running for president in 2016 to hide his relationship with Stormy Daniels and falsified business documents for this. Stormy Daniel, who appeared in court, said she met Trump at a golf course in Lake Tahoe in 2006 and accepted his invitation to a party. Trump, who was in the field of real estate at that time, was the host of the reality show ‘The Apprentice’. He offered her a chance and had sex with her. But Stormy Daniel told the court that he left his relationship with Trump when he realized that the promise would not be kept.
Keith Davidson, who promoted the book, said the story would help sell his memoir when he learned Trump was running for president. However, Davidson and Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, made a non-disclosure agreement. According to Stormy Daniel, he was paid 1.30 lakh dollars.
