Mahe Swept by Waves of People as India’s Largest Multi-State Housing Co-op, BLM, Holds Mega Meet

MAHE: The mega members’ meet of BLM, India’s largest Multi-State Housing Co-operative Society, concluded Mahe with a massive public gathering. The event, which saw the participation of tens of thousands of members and partners, was officially inaugurated by the Honourable Governor of Puducherry, K. Kailashnathan IAS.

The ceremony, marking BLM’s 21st year of service in the housing and charitable sectors, was attended by several high-profile dignitaries. Puducherry Deputy Speaker P. Rajavelu graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the gathering, BLM Founder and Chairman R. Premkumar unveiled the organization’s ambitious roadmap for the upcoming year. He emphasized that BLM’s core mission remains “Housing for All and a Hunger-Free Nation,” highlighting the society’s deep commitment to the underprivileged sections of society.

Over the past two decades, BLM has emerged as a powerhouse in the co-operative sector, particularly in Kerala, where it boasts lakhs of partners. The Chairman noted that the society has not only provided housing solutions but has also been a beacon of hope through its extensive social welfare programs

The event was presided over by BLM President N. Karunamoorthy. The massive turnout in Mahe is being viewed as a significant show of strength and public trust in the organization. Key officials, including PRO Sidhu and Saithalavi, also addressed the delegates.

The meet concluded with a reaffirmation of the society’s dedication to continuing its legacy of social security and housing excellence across the country.
