A few days ago, Robert Destro, who was appointed by the United States to oversee the Tibetan region, met with Lobsang Sangye, the head of the ousted Tibetan government. China has strongly protested against this. According to available information, China is upset by such moves by India and the US against China.
“Taiwan is only a part of China and the unified China policy needs to be ratified by countries including India,” said Shao Lijian, an official spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry. Shao Lijian also said that China would strongly oppose other countries’ diplomatic relations with Taiwan. Earlier, China had demanded that Taiwan not be considered a state.
