Pompeo said the meeting with Jaishankar was positive. ‘It became clear that we (the quad nations) had been sleeping for so long. For decades, Western nations allowed the Chinese Communist Party to advance. The previous regime was on its knees and allowed China to seize intellectual property. Along with this, millions of jobs were lost. This is also the case for the quad nations, “said Pompeo.

Following the Tokyo meeting, Pompeo and Defense Secretary Mark Esper will arrive in India for the annual meeting. Ahead of this, Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Began will also arrive in India next week.
