Shamna Kasim says that if I am still in the film industry today, it is because of director Mishkin. He always gave me the confidence to act. I have often taken decisions like no more movies, dance is enough. I took a few breaks when I came into films. None of the acting films felt like work for me. No matter how many films she does, all an actress wants is a hit. None of the films that we have done with high expectations have become hits.
I was very troubled by that. Decided not to even film anymore. But all those thoughts were changed by the movie Savarakathi. I got a family through that movie. In fact, many leading actresses would not have played such a role. I acted as a mother of two children and a pregnant woman in that film. Shamna says that actually at that time I wanted to get pregnant as soon as possible.
Immediately after that movie, I told my mom that I wanted to get pregnant too. Mummy replied that she wants to marry me soon. Now that the pregnancy is over, I can experience everything. But during that filming, I felt a different feeling when I was walking with my belly tied.
She acted like that for twenty five days. After that, I felt that this film should not have ended so quickly. Shamna says that the shooting of that film is over and there has never been another film or location in my life where I felt like I wouldn’t be able to act from tomorrow.
