Police registered a case against Manjummel boys and producers for criminal conspiracy

Kochi: The police have registered a case against the producers of the superhit film ‘Manjummal Boys’, which became a wave in Malayalam cinema. The case is against producers Shawn Antony, Soubin Shahir and Babu Shahir. The action is as per the order of Ernakulam 1st Class Magistrate Court.

The action of the court is based on the complaint of Siraj, a native of Aroor. Ernakulam Maradu Police registered the case. The case has been filed on charges of criminal conspiracy, breach of trust and forgery. The complaint is that neither the money spent on the film nor the profit was returned.

The film has collected more than 150 crore rupees at the Indian box office. The film grossed 164.58 crores including tax in India. The film has already collected Rs 225 crores globally.

Like the Malayalis, Tamil Nadu people also loved the movie. Manjummal Boys tells the story of a group of young people from Manjummal, Kochi, who travel to Kodaikanal and what happens in their lives.

Written and directed by Chidambaram, the film featured Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathy, Jean Paul Lal, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Deepak Parambol, Khalid Rahman, Arun Kurien, Vishnu Raghu, Chanthu and others.
