Kollam: 15 people, including an eight year old boy and his mother, are in hospital after eating Shawarma and Alfam.
Panchayat authorities closed down the fast food hotel operating in Chatayamangalam in the wake of the incident. Those who ate the food were admitted to the hospital due to dizziness, vomiting and fever.
15 people got food poisoning and sought treatment in different hospitals. Ajmi, a native of Chatayamangalam Kizhuthoni, and her son Muhammad Fayaz are undergoing treatment at Paripally Medical College Hospital.
Food safety officials reached the hospital and recorded the statement of the sick. The Food Safety Department is of the preliminary conclusion that the food poisoning is from mayonnaise or chicken meat. Chatayamangalam police registered a case and started investigation.
