If you want to get a cooking gas cylinder at home, you have to show the OTP (One Time Password) number from next month. Oil companies have decided to implement new changes in the supply of gas cylinders. The new reform will take effect from November 1.
If the gas cylinder is booked at home, a delivery authentication code will be available on the beneficiary’s registered mobile. The cylinder can only be obtained by showing this number at the time of the delivery of cooking gas. Oil companies say the new system will prevent cylinder theft and ensure that it is delivered to the real customer.
As an initial step, the project is being implemented in 100 smart cities across the country. The companies said it would later expand to other locations.
