Offering a BSC Nursing seat, 8.25 lakh was extorted, and the accused was arrested

Pathanamthitta: Private Medical College in Pathanamthitta. The accused was arrested in the case of extorting money by saying that he could buy admission for nursing. Shyamjith (37), a native of Merikkun, Kozhikode, was arrested. He was arrested by Koipram police.

The arrest was made on a complaint filed by Suni Varghese at Valiyavila, Pullad Poovathur. The case is that the accused received Rs 8.25 lakh from the complainant. 7,55,000 was sent to the accused from the joint account of the complainant and her husband, saying that they could buy admission for nursing. After that, he took Rs 70,000 directly to the hospital, saying it was a hostel fee.

A complaint was made to the police after not getting admission in the college. The police have registered a case of fraud. After taking the evidence, the accused was brought back to Kozhikode District Jail. Coiprum S. H. O. G. Under the leadership of Suresh Kumar S. I. Muhsin Muhammad is investigating the case.

Kozhikode Kasaba Police arrested the accused in six similar cases and the accused was taken into custody by the Koipram police while he was remanded in the district jail.
