Anishya’s Suicide: Family Approaches Governor, Requests CBI Investigation

Thiruvananthapuram: Relatives of Paravur court’s assistant public prosecutor Anishya have demanded that the CBI investigate the suicide. The demand was made to Governor Arif Muhammad Khan. Anishya’s mother alleged that she is not satisfied with the ongoing crime branch investigation and is trying to protect the accused.

The crime branch case is that Anisiya, who was an assistant public prosecutor, committed suicide due to harassment at work. Deputy Director of Prosecution Abdul Jalil and APC Shyam Krishnan, accused of incitement to suicide, were arrested but granted bail. Anisya had written about the mental torture she suffered in a 19-page suicide note. Voice messages were also sent to friends.

The parents alleged that despite the evidence, the investigation is not going to the other accused and the evidence is not being collected against the accused. Even after Anisya’s death, the culprits are spreading false propaganda against her daughter, the family says. The Justice for Anesthesia Action Council also alleged that the defendants are misleading the court by creating fake documents. The parents have also approached the High Court demanding a CBI probe
