Swati Maliwal Assault Case: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s PA Vaibhav Kumar Arrested

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s PA Baibhav Kumar has been arrested on the complaint of beating MP Swati Maliwal. Baibhav was arrested from the Chief Minister’s official residence on Civil Line. After the incident became controversial, Baibhav was absconding.There were allegations that Kejriwal was protecting Baibhav. Meanwhile, Delhi Police arrested Baibhav from Kejriwal’s house.

Baibhav, who returned with Kejriwal and MP Sanjay Singh to attend the All India press conference in Lucknow, went into hiding following the controversy.Police say there is evidence that he went to Amritsar. The search was conducted at Kejriwal’s house following a tip-off received while the police were searching in Punjab in four teams to find Baibhav.It was reported that Baibhav was hiding in the office room at home. Then a large police team reached the spot and took Baibhav into custody. Police were at Kejriwal’s house for several hours on Friday to collect evidence.

On May 13, MP Swati Maliwal filed a complaint that Baibhav Kumar brutally assaulted her when she came to his official residence to meet Kejriwal. The Aam Aadmi Party has taken a stand in the manner of protecting Baibhav and denying Swati. The Aam Aadmi Party’s response was that the BJP was behind Swati’s allegations. In this regard, the party had also released the CCTV footage from the Chief Minister’s residence.
