Parassala: Parassala railway police seized 13.5 kg of ganja from a secret compartment in the toilet of a passenger who was traveling from Kochuveli to Nagercoil.
The Nilambur Kochuveli Express from Nilambur to Kochuveli travels as a passenger from Kochuveli to Nagercoil. The accused could not be found in connection with the incident.
The plywood inside the toilet was removed, the marijuana stacked inside, and then reattached with screws. But the railway police noticed that the plywood was shaken due to the screw not being completely fixed and 13.5 kg of ganja was found in 16 packages.
Officials said the cannabis was more than two months old and the packets were found in rat-bitten condition.
