COVID has so far been confirmed to have 7,494,591 people in the United States, which has the highest number of COVID cases. 212,660 died. The number of those who have recovered has crossed forty-seven lakhs. In Brazil, 4,849,229 people have been diagnosed with the virus so far. 144,767 people died. 4,212,772 were cured. Russia has the fourth-highest number of confirmed cases with 1,185,231.
COVID has confirmed 81,484 more people in the country in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of COVID victims to 63,94,069. In the last 24 hours, 1,095 COVID deaths have been confirmed.
There are currently 9,42,217 active cases in the country. 53,52,078 were cured. So far, 99,773 people have died from the disease. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 7,67,17,728 samples were tested till October 1 and 10,97,947 samples were tested yesterday alone.
Maharashtra currently has the highest number of COVID victims in the country. The number of patients here has crossed 14 lakhs. Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka have the second-highest number of patients after Maharashtra.
