 In the last 24 hours, 3,14,855 people have been newly infected with the virus in various countries. 5,872 deaths were also reported. India recorded the highest number of one-dayers. There are 85,919 confirmed cases in the country. Of these, 1,144 lost their lives. The United States is next. Here, 45,355 people were infected with the virus and 942 died.
