Tom and Jerry continue to fight in theatres from 2021

Tom and Jerry have been trying to kill each other for 80 years — and now, they’ll continue that tradition in a new movie scheduled for release in theaters in 2021. Warner Bros announced the first Tom & Jerry trailer will be available on Tuesday. The animated movie is set to be the first theatrical release for Tom and Jerry in nearly three decades, since 1992’s. “Everyone’s favourite cat and mouse have made their way across the world and have finally arrived in New York City,” tweets from the official Tom and Jerry Movie and Warner Bros. India Twitter accounts said. “Don’t miss Tom and Jerry in their new trailer for #TomAndJerryMovie tomorrow!”

Even though it was announced over a year ago, the project seems to have been completed, as is evidenced by its ridiculous first trailer. The Movie follows as the duo mortal enemies’ ongoing efforts to murder one another lead to Jerry seeking refuge in the halls of a ritzy hotel in New York City. Though Jerry’s a big fan of his new digs, his arrival comes at a time when the hotel’s preparing for a high profile wedding, an event general manager Terrance (Michael Peña) wants absolutely no vermin to attend. When new hire Kayla (Chloë Grace Moretz) is tapped to deal with the hotel’s new mouse problem, she enlists unhoused cat Tom to take care of business, and, one imagines, hilarity is meant to ensue. The film is scheduled for a March theatrical release.
