Thiruvananthapuram: Popular film and television actor Vishnu Prasad has passed away. He had been in critical condition for some time due to liver disease. His demise occurred on Thursday night. Actor Kishore Sathya shared the news of his passing through a Facebook post, referring to it as heartbreaking news. Vishnu Prasad died at a private hospital in Ernakulam. The funeral will take place tomorrow.
Earlier, Kishore Sathya had stated that around 30 lakh rupees had been spent on Vishnu Prasad’s treatment. He also mentioned that financial assistance was being provided by the serial artists’ association, “Aathma.” Vishnu Prasad was also a member of the film actors’ association, AMMA. A few days ago, Kishore Sathya had said he was unsure whether any financial help would be provided by AMMA.
Vishnu Prasad was an actor who gained audience recognition through both films and television serials. He was best known for his villain roles. He made his acting debut in the Tamil film Kaasi, directed by Vinayan. He went on to act in several movies including Kaiyethum Doorath, Runway, Maampazhakkaalam, Lion, Ben Johnson, Lokanathan IAS, Pathaka, and Maaratha Naadu. Later, he became active in television serials as well.
