Thiruvananthapuram: Record increase in electricity consumption in the state. 11.17 crore units were used yesterday. Domestic production is only 2.36 crore units. 8.81 crore units of electricity had to be purchased.
When the electricity consumption goes up due to KSEB’s calculations, the people are also affected by the disruptions. The problems faced are low voltage and power failure due to excessive load. With the increase in temperature, the electricity consumption has also increased sharply.
