Ceasefire Agreement: Hamas Announces Release of Four More Hostages Today

Hamas has announced the release of four Israeli female soldiers on Saturday as part of a prisoner exchange. In return, Israel will release 200 Palestinian detainees later this afternoon. According to the agreement, 50 Palestinian detainees will be freed in exchange for each female soldier. This exchange is part of the ongoing ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, Hamas had released three Israeli women as part of the ceasefire arrangement. The names of the four Israeli hostages to be released on Saturday have been disclosed by Hamas leaders. The soldiers set to be freed are Kareen Arieyev, Danielle Gilboa, Naam Levy, and Liri Albag.

These soldiers were reportedly abducted from the Nahal Oz military observation post during the October 7 attack, which marked the beginning of the Israel-Hamas conflict. Hamas’s military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, confirmed the planned release on Friday.
